Alicia Sanford became a young mother due to an unexpected pregnancy as a teenager. She was happily married to her husband Craig, who she thought would be her soulmate for life. While her life is falling apart, Alicia and her young son, Tommy are thrust into the lives of three completely different men. Alicia first connects with her wide-eyed teenaged neighbor, Nick Randolph, a truly helpful young man who becomes a genuine friend. Alicia’s connection to Nick leads to a friendship with his gregarious father, Hank Randolph, who is wild and unpredictable. Alicia’s friendship with Hank leads to her meeting David Nichols, who is Hank’s reserved and responsible business partner, and who is also scarred by a past relationship.
With the help of these three men, Alicia will begin to pick up the pieces and start again. She will need to get a new job with new friends to be able to manage and afford the house on her own. Then Alicia will need to venture out into the dating world to find the right man who might just be the soulmate she has been missing.
